Both the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro come with 5.7-inch display. While the Mi Note carries a 1080p Full HD screen, the Mi Note Pro comes with a 2K (Quad HD) display. The Mi Note is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor along with 3GB of RAM, while the Mi Note Pro carries the latest 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor and 4GB of RAM. Both devices carry 3D curved glass display with Gorilla Glass 3, dual 4G connectivity, Sony 13MP camera with f/2.0 aperture with OIS, 4MP front camera, Hi_Fi audio system and 3000 mAh battery with Quick charge 2.0 support. The Mi Note has been priced at ¥2299 (16GB) and ¥2799 (64GB) which translates to approximately $370 (Rs.23,000) and $450 (Rs.28,000) respectively. The Mi Note Pro comes in a single 64GB variant and is priced at ¥3299 (~$530 or Rs.33,000).
The devices are characterized by super-thin 3mm bezels giving them a compact look like on the Mi 4. The Mi Note is just 6.95mm thin and weighs just 161g. The 13MP rear camera is the second gen Sony IMX214 lens with CMOS sensor and f/2.0 aperture promising excellent low light performance. The devices come with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) for better low light snaps. There’s also a Philips 2-tone flash to deliver true-to-life lighting. The front camera is a 4MP affair with large 2-micron pixels. When it comes to connectivity, the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro comes with Dual 4G with dual standby, with one supporting a nano-sum and the other supporting a micro-SIM. This is the first time we are seeing dual 4G connectivity on a smartphone. The Mi Note Pro comes with cat-9 LTE support with speeds up to 450Mbps. Xiaomi has some special features when it comes to audio support as well. The Mi Note and Mi Note Pro come with Hi-Fi audio system and 24-bit/192KHz lossless playback support, something similar to what we saw on the Honor 6 Plus last month. In addition to mp3, the devices will support APE, FLAC, DSD and WAV lossless formats as well.
